The Samsung Galaxy A7 and A9 has been officially announced last week! Why is that important? Brcause now you don’t need to get that spankingly shiny Huawei to get a three-camera set-up.
Yes, you read that right, three cameras. That is what the brand new 2018 version of the Samsung Galaxy A7 has; three cameras. Why? Because they can; and why not? The main camera is a 24-Megapixel paired to an 8-Megapixel ultra wide-angle camera and a 5-Megapixel depth camera. So of course you will get crisp, pretty, lovely photos for that gram.
Need regular photos? Just launch the camera as usual and you get photos as clear as you can get from a smartphone. It is a 24-Megapixel after all. But what if the view is too short? You want to take more than that normal frame? Just zoom out, why not? It can now with the 8-Megapixel wide-angle lens it has. You can even use that for macro shots with the 13mm focal length its got. What about Bokeh? Why not, it has that depth camera too for that extra pretty Bokeh shot. It is almost the god-sent device for our Instagram.
Until Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy A9, and oh my goodness our jaw dropped. You think that the Samsung Galaxy A7 was awesome for putting 3 cameras in one device and made it affordable for all. The Samsung Galaxy A9 though just destroyed the Galaxy A7’s limelight by giving us 4 cameras. FOUR CAMERAS!
What were we thinking? When we actually thought a 3-camera set-up was the best that we could get in a mid-range smartphone Samsung proved us wrong with the Samsung Galaxy A9. It packs all the same cameras that you can find on the Samsung Galaxy A7. The difference here is the 10-Megapixel telephoto camera on the Samsung Galaxy A9. It gives the Galaxy A9 an extra super power to do a 2x optical zoom to capture your favourite superstar that you see on the streets. In this particular event you can take a picture of DJ Soda from the back of the hall; because the Galaxy A9 can. The only unfortunate thing is that we don’t have one yet.
Both Galaxy devices will last you the whole day with 3,300mAh and 3,800mAh battery respectively. Both also comes at a maximum of 128GB of storage to keep all those Instagram photos. The only strange thing on the Galaxy devices is that the Galaxy A7 has a MicroUSB port.
The Samsung Galaxy A7 starts its pre-order runs today for MYR1,299 until 21st October, 2018. It will be ready for collection pretty soon after. If you do pre-order you will get an original screen protector from Samsung, a mini tripod, and a Thermos Mug. The Samsung Galaxy A9? That one; have to wait lah ha.
Both are great smartphones with great cameras though. You won’t go wrong with either. The most important thing about both devices though you will always get Instagram perfect photos. With either the Samsung Galaxy A7 or the Galaxy A9, at least the 2018 versions, you are always one moment away from that perfect Instagram photo; you are always #instaready.
